Young Families Programming
Shabbat Safari is a monthly Shabbat morning celebration for the young and the young at heart (with a focus on children 0-5 years of age and their families). Children will sing, dance, shake and pray together as we celebrate this special day. Join us for a lively, interactive 45 minute service in which the children will have a chance to express their “Shabbat feelings” and experience the joy of Shabbat. We end with a kiddush with challah and grape juice. For more information please contact Tasha Hausmann at nteutsch@gmail.com.
PJ Library of the Greater Sacramento Region brought Jewish stories & songs to the young families of Bet Haverim on Sunday afternoon December 11, 2011. As a special treat, Torah scribe Jen Taylor-Friedman was on hand to share with the kids & parents parchment samples & quills being used to write the 50th anniversary Torah! Many thanks to CBH partner Suzanne Nitzkin & PJ Library Program Coordinator Ardyth Sokoler for their wonderful talents in organizing the event.
