Torah Dedication – remembering a beautiful day in Bet Haverim history!
Sunday December 16, 2012 officially marked the close of our 50th anniversary celebrations with a wedding uniting two congregations with their new Torahs. CBH completed & received the Torah that more than 500 partners and their families scribed together since October 2011 with Soferet Jen Taylor-Friedman. CBH also donated a Torah originally brought to the Jewish Fellowship of Davis by Joyce Goldman’s father to Congregacion Adat Or Yisrael of Santa Maria, CA…it is their very first Torah.

While nearly two years in the making, the final plans for the day were made possible through a collaboration by David Aladjem, Rabbi Greg Wolfe, Joy Cohan, Alan Titche, Michael Bobell, Virginia Lantry and Robin Kulakow. We appreciate their vision for this once-in-a-lifetime celebration!
The Tree of Life Campaign successfully meets & exceeds $500,000 goal
Thanks to the many CBH partners who invested in our congregations’s next 50 years, the Tree of Life Campaign now totals more that $530,000. In addition to the new Torah, these funds will provide for the physical, spiritual & educational enhancement of our community, as well as ensure financial security for CBH’s future. Mazel tov, CBH partners, YOU made a dream come true! Pledges & donations will continue to be accepted through December 31, 2012. Click here to complete a commitment form.
The “50 Years of Memories” display, marking a year during the past 50 that is of significance to each campaign participant of $1,000 or more, will debut within the first 4-6 week of 2013.
